Established in 2021, Minnesota Defense Education is a training company offering concealed carry (ccw) classes in the Mankato, Waseca, Owatonna, and Faribault areas of southern Minnesota. Monthly classes provide individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly carry a firearm for personal protection through the Minnesota Citizens Personal Protection Act.

Timothy Corry

Timothy Corry is the owner and primary instructor at Minnesota Defense Education. Tim is an adult learning consultant with over 20 years of experience creating and delivering corporate training. He has been contracted by companies around the world to develop and implement custom learning solutions and is widely regarded as one of the best in his industry.

In 2021 Tim founded SoMinn Training LLC and it's subsidiary Minnesota Defense Education. Minnesota Defense Education is approved by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension as a Minnesota Citizens Personal Protection Act certifying org allowing him to teach MN Permit to Carry classes, as well as train others to teach MN Permit to Carry classes.

Tim is a USCCA certified Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals instructor. Tim is also certified in the US Law Shield Permit to Carry curriculum. Tim is an expert graduate of the USCCA Defensive Handgun Program.

Tim lives in Janesville, MN with his wife Michelle and their two young children. The family enjoys playing outside, fishing, camping, golfing, and shooting.
